Wevent (“Wevent”, “we”, “our”, “us”) provides a mobile application that allows users to discover, request quotes, book and pay for event-related services (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the App.
1) Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to:
- Clients who browse services, request quotes, book services, and make payments.
- Providers (service professionals) who list services, communicate with clients, send offers/quotes, and fulfill bookings.
- Name (or business name), email address, phone number (optional), profile details.
- Account type (Client/Provider).
- Provider details (e.g., service category, service description, pricing, availability, and portfolio photos if you upload them).
- Service requests and event details you provide (e.g., event date, city/location, type of event, special instructions).
- Quotes/offers, booking status, and cancellations.
- Payment status and payment-related metadata (e.g., transaction ID, payment confirmation).
C. Messages and user content
- Chat messages between clients and providers.
- Files you upload (e.g., images, attachments) if the feature exists.
- Reviews/ratings and support requests.
- Device information (model, operating system version), app version, and language.
- Logs and diagnostic data (crash reports, performance data) to improve reliability and troubleshoot issues.
E. Location (optional)
If you enable location features, we may process approximate location (e.g., city/area) to help match services near you. You can disable location permissions in your device settings.
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Provide core features: browsing services, requesting quotes, booking, payments, chat, and notifications.
- Match clients and providers and facilitate communication.
- Improve security (fraud prevention, abuse detection) and maintain the App.
- Provide customer support and respond to requests.
- Send service notifications (booking updates, payment confirmations, important service messages).
4) Payments (Stripe)
Payments in the App are processed by Stripe. When you make a payment, your payment information (such as card details) is collected and processed by Stripe according to their policies.
Wevent does not store full card numbers or full payment card details. Wevent may store:
- payment status (paid/unpaid),
- transaction identifiers (e.g., Stripe payment ID),
- and receipts or invoice references (if applicable).
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information in the following situations:
A. Between clients and providers
To enable bookings and service fulfillment, we share relevant information between the client and the provider, such as:
- profile name and basic contact details (as needed for the booking),
- service request details,
- messages and booking/scheduling information.
B. Service providers (processors)
We use third-party service providers to operate the App (e.g., hosting, databases, analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, and Stripe for payments). These providers process data on our behalf to provide their services.
C. Legal obligations
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and prevent fraud.
6) Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to:
- provide the App and manage bookings,
- comply with legal obligations,
- resolve disputes and enforce our terms.
You may request deletion of your account (see “Your rights”).
7) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8) Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- access, correct, or delete your personal information,
- withdraw consent (where applicable),
- request a copy of your data.

9) Children’s privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us so we can delete it.
10) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post updates on this page and update the “Last updated” date.

- The email address used for your Wevent account
- Your full name (optional)
- The request: “Delete my Wevent account and associated data”
What will be deleted
We will delete (or anonymize where applicable):
- Your account profile information
- Bookings/requests linked to your account (where legally possible)
- Chat messages and uploaded content (where applicable)
What may be retained
We may retain certain records if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, accounting).
If retention is required, we will keep only what is necessary and for the minimum period required.
